About Me

I have been helping people to understand how to select the best Medicare plan since 2013. In 2023 I retired from my professional patient advocate practice of working with and taking compensation from private clients.

I started out by training and volunteering first at the Medicare Rights Center and later at Community Health Advocates.

I have been licensed by New York State as a health insurance broker. I have never worked for or taken money from insurance companies.

In addition, I am a Board Certified Patient Advocate with a Certificate in Patient Advocacy from UCLA.

For ten years I have volunteered as a patient advocate and the 92nd Street Y Himan Brown Senior Program and the Stanley Isaacs Senior Center.

I am especially proud of the my monthly presentations at the Stanley Isaacs Senior Center.

I belong to the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates (APHA) and am listed in the APHA’s Patient Advocate Directory where I have a five star rating.

Before becoming a patient advocate, I enjoyed careers as an executive in internet marketing, direct response advertising, and bookselling. I live on the Upper West Side of New York City, which has been my home for more than 40 years. I have a BA in the Humanities from The University of Chicago.
